Xander Berbé

As collaborator on ‘Inclusion’ projects, Xander works towards greater cultural participation for people with disabilities. Xander studied Language and Literature in Ghent and then started at Onafhankelijk Leven. There, he worked as an adviser and later as a communications officer focusing on the rights of people with disabilities. After a second role in communications (Wervel), Xander arrived at Lasso with a clear mission: to give others the opportunity to enjoy culture as much as he does himself.

In his work, Xander brings cultural institutions and organisations of and for people with disabilities closer together. In doing so, he has built up considerable experience in accessibility and inclusion. He enjoys thinking along with others about a wide range of questions — from policy challenges to practical matters.
